    Monthly Mail Club

A monthly subscription dedicated to the exploration of a fantasy land through fictional travel articles and art.

  • Knitting Patterns

I have been knitting self-drafted patterns for as long as I can remember. I have started using this to write and publish patterns that are designed to embrace the fun of making.

All of my patterns contain information on how to customize them to your best fit or use. Let’s Get Knitting!

  • Mathematical Knitting

When knitting 3-D objects such as hats or socks, the knitter is using geometry and mathematics to make the 2-dimensional string into 3-dimensional shapes. In these patterns, explore how to make mathematically accurate cones and paraboloids.

Patterns for creating any size (you do the calculations) or a specific size (no calculations needed).

Meet the Creative

Hello! It’s nice to meet you :) My name is Cynthia.

I have been creating as long as I can remember. I’m excited to share that joy with you. My favorite part of crafting is the exploration of uses, mechanics, construction, color, and joy of knitting, crocheting, and more!

I started writing formal knitting patterns in 2019 for my Honors Capstone project at Western Washington University. Since then, I’ve explored knitting geometric shapes and accessories in my published patterns. My goal is to create patterns that are easily altered (to honor our differences), versatile, and inclusive. This includes writing easy-to-read patterns and size inclusivity.

In 2024, I returned to creative writing, starting a Substack about creativity and writing fiction pieces.

As a kid, I vowed never to lose my imagination with age. I am proud to be upholding that with each stitch, word, and piece of art that I make. But the best things in life are shared.

That’s where you come in. If you love creativity, wish you were more creative, or lie somewhere in the middle, welcome. May we all imagine a more wonderful, creative, and joyful world together.

I’m so glad you are here. I’m so glad that we are.
